Spreading Romney has gotten off of the front page of Google.  Whatever your feelings on Dan Savage, the reason behind him starting this site is a just one - Mitt Romney shared this story about strapping his dog to the roof of his car as a way to "connect with the common man."

I don't want an animal abuser in the White House, how about you?  Anyone who is that cavalier about abusing animals won't give a crap about abusing humans, either.

Please share this far and wide.  Thank you for your support.

Did I ever tell you guys that Mitt Romney lives in the next town over from me?
And that my sister's friend almost hit him with her car while he was jogging on the side of the road?
-sigh- ...If only.

I feel like such a legit artist now that I've got a site going. But that's only gonna help me if people actually see it...

Since a number of US newspapers have refused to republish the latest Doonesbury cartoon strip which highlights the way Republicans are attempting to undermine a woman's right to choose, I feel it's important to make sure the message still gets across.

The shaming room awaits.

embarrassed to be human today.  too much anti-women shit on my flist and tumblr.
There's this writer on Yahoo!Health and seriously, every time I see one of his articles on the front page, it makes me laugh and cry at his stupidity.
Here's the article that pushed me over the edge into the "rage" area: http://health.yahoo.net/experts/eatthis/5-worst-beach-body-foods

Read the worst snack.

For those that may be link-phobic, here's a screen shot just for you!

Read it. He actually recommends eating chips and fucking salsa instead of... No, not instead of Doritos or Cheetos. Instead of fucking broccoli. Broccoli. Broccoli.

And why does it recommend eating chips (which you can see the nutrition info here: http://www.foodshouldtastegood.com/#/jalapeno/) instead of healthy broccoli?

What the ever-loving fuck is this guy on? I'm pretty sure fruits and vegetables are the best thing you could eat the beach.

Now, the chips don't look that bad but given the option between that a vegetable, especially at the beach where you probably are more likely to eat crap? YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CHOOSE THE BROCCOLI.

All his "Eat This, Not That" are all fucking product placements. Don't eat broccoli since no one owns broccoli and I can't get paid for mentioning it. Eat [long frivolous brand name shit because the company is paying me to tell you to eat it] instead!

How the hell is this guy still employed?

New Items Listed

I went on a major crafting-binge on Sunday. Between Sunday and today, I've completed about five new pieces. I've photographed the majority of the new items, and some items I had made beforehand. I just need to list the items.

No more sales yet, but I'm not surprised. I was surprised that I received my first sale so quickly. I'm not expecting another sale for a little bit, but I am not giving up anytime soon. I truly believe this whole thing will work on for me in the end. Hopefully :P

I've decided to try selling some of my arts and crafts on Etsy. I only have two items listed, but one thing I've seen a lot of other shop owners say that it's important to start advertising earlier and often. I'm just testing out the waters as for now, in hopes that maybe my shop will become somewhat lucrative so I can save up for college and, y'know, life.

New Doctor Who Theory

I am probably completely wrong, but after having just finished watching episode 2, Day of the Moon, I have a new theory about the identity of River Song. This will probably be rather impossible to understand since my brain is sort of melting with a lot of different ideas and new theories, so I apologize XD

The Impossible Astronaut- My Thoughts

Woah, welcome new series of Doctor Who!!

I am currently in a love-hate relationship with “The Impossible Astronaut”. I loved some parts, were intrigued by others, annoyed by some, and overall, just left very unsatisfied.
Shh SPOILERS!Collapse )

Dear Ignorant Masses,

Those who are saying that the Japanese earthquake and tsunami are "payback" for Pearl Harbor, and that this is all about karma, be prepared for what karma will do to us (America). The death toll for Pearl is 2,350.
But for Nagasaki? 60,000–80,000
And Hiroshima? 90,000–166,000

It sickens me that there are people who are blaming a horrible natural disaster on karma. If anything, I hope karma comes back and bites YOU in the ass for saying and thinking such horrible things.

It was a horrible natural disaster, not karma. As human beings, it is our duty to help others when they need it. Shall I remind you of the intense international response after Hurricane Katrina? Even Japan offered their help then, so why shouldn't we return the favor?

In case people didn't know, the US is on pretty good terms with Japan. What happened during WWII is OVER and done with. Sure, we should never forget but at the same time, we shouldn't hold what their ancestors did against them now. Hell, most of the people involved in Pearl Harbor are probably dead now.

How can we ever achieve world peace if there are people like this in the world? We need to learn to grow up and get along.

The College Search Has Ended!

I've made a decision: MICA. Maryland Institute College of Art. I'm done! No more fretting, no more worrying. IT. IS. DONE!!

I got my acceptance letter in early February and went down to Baltimore to visit last Sunday. It is so great down there. I really like the campus, the facilities look great, I love the area (my mom and I described Baltimore as the ghost-town version of Boston).

My mom mailed my letter of intent and the check yesterday. It feels like a huge load off of my back. Unfortunately, NOW I have to worry about scholarships and finding a way to actually pay for college.
